BROTHERS...

Parker is doing....ummm....well.....pretty good, considering his life just got turned upside down!!! It will take some time, but once he gets through the adjustment stage...he is going to be the greatest Big Brother!
He pushed him until he hit the wall on the other side of the room. Sorry Ryler! :-)
Touching "Baby's" fingers @ the Hospital...

Holding him for the 1st time...by himself....
SO SWEET!

Watching TV together - Parker laid down just close enough...but also just far enough away that he still felt safe:)

After awhile he decided to reach out and touch him...BARELY...

Whenever Ryler cries...Parker says "Uh-Oh!" and rushes to give him his pacifier...

Lastnight for the 1st time...he SUCCESSFULLY put the pacifier in all by himself & Ryler stopped fussing. I looked over & started laughing...because his paci was upside down...but Ryler could have cared less...he was HAPPY! Good job Parker!!! And you can tell by his face that Ryler was only SLIGHTLY traumatized by the whole thing:)
Hanging out on the couch with BABY!
Getting more comfortable with him as the days go on...
We even got him to lay REALLY CLOSE to him for a size comparision picture:)
Unfortunately Parker hasn't been feeling very good this past week...so we are trying to get him used to Ryler, but also keep him away. This is quite a juggling act, but Matt has been home, which has been a LIFESAVER!!! We are trying to let him touch him here & there & then instantly are sanitizing his hands & trying to distract him AWAY from the baby. With Parker not feeling well, he wants to be held a lot & wants more attention than we are giving him-- of course! He has been the center of our world for 2 years & now his attention has been split in half & has to be shared. Tough for a kid who is feeling well. Tougher for a sick kid:( Seems like he is at the end of it. I can't wait until I can let him smother BABY in kisses all he wants! :) Meanwhile...Matt goes back to work tomorrow & I will try to keep my sanity while Parker throws a tantrum, while I am feeding Ryler.

Wish me Luck! :)

Good luck Staci! Don't worry, it gets easier and don't stress out when he throws a tantrum. Your boys are too cute together. I love doing the side by side pose with my girls too. It's amazing how fast they grow.

I was talking to Matt @ church today and asked how Parker was adjusting... he hesitated for a sec before smiling and I laughed... you're in for it! But, I'm sure Parker will adjust when you're all in a routine and it's not so new :)

I'll keep my fingers crossed!!

ella watched tv every time i feed charlie for the first 2 months of his life. it just made it easier. as for the tantrums, ignore them. it is really all you can do and it really saves your sanity.

Sometimes Zane still throws tantrums while I nurse Nate. It does get better and if I can survive, you can too. Just remember to laugh because one day you will wish you were still in this phase of life. Enjoy it!

Those pictures are too cute. Parker is going to do great! It's hard not to feel guilty about splitting your time! But what do you do?

Congratulations Staci!! Catherine told me you had your baby but I'm just now finally getting around to stopping by to check out your pictures. You looked fabulous in the hospital!

That one of Parker holding Ryler just melted my heart and made my day. Too cute!
