TAG!

Raquel "tagged" me to write the following 6 things about myself, so here it goes...

1. Deep Dark Secret: Hmmm....I really don't have any deep dark secrets. I guess I am an open book. How boring!

2. Favorites: I LOVE icecream. Yes, I realize that icecream is #1 on my list:) I love sports--playing sports & watching them in person! I don't really like to watch sports on TV, unless it is the Suns. I love to read, even though I drive Matt nuts when I stay up late reading with the lights on. I love being a mom & I love my hubby more than anything!

3. Fears: Up until the last couple years, I HATED getting in elevators. I would avoid it at all costs. I would rather walk floors or stairs, then chance getting stuck in an elevator. I think this fear stemmed from years of riding the elevator at Superstition Springs Mall with friends & seeing them open the door while the elevator was moving-I HATED that!

4. Habits: I think I have mentioned this before, but I HAVE TO straighten the pillows on my couches, before I can go to bed. I also have to have my dresser drawers COMPLETELY shut before I go to bed. BUT...I could care less if Matt's are pushed in??? I bite my nails. I wish I could kick this bad habit, but whenever I do really good...I end up watching a scary movie or I just get bored & I bite them all off!

5. Talents: I don't really like this question. I think I have the talent to like everyone. I'm not judgmental and there isn't a person that I have met, that I don't like...I honestly think that everyone has good in them.

6. Things I'd like to learn: I love to sew & would like to learn how to sew better. I want to learn how to make a BIG quilt for my bed...one of these days, I'm going to do it! I'd love to learn how to sing, but I've come to the realization that I'm just not musically talented. I love to learn new things...anyone want to teach me something? I'm a great student!

9 Months!

Another month has flown by! Parker gets happier & happier, every single day! We are so blessed to have the BEST baby in the entire world...and the CUTEST!

Weight: 19lbs 8oz - 30% percentile

Height:28 1/2 inches-55% percentile

Head: 18 1/2 inches-90%percentile

Gotta love our small kid...with a big head:)

Eating Habits:

I nurse at 8am, 12pm, 4pm & 8pm...eating 1/2 jar of food w/rice cereal or table food @ 8, 12 & 4 o'clock feedings. I LOVE to eat!!! I have NEVER turned away/spit out anything to this day, I like EVERYTHING my mom puts in front of me! I am starting to eat a lot more table foods & I especially love my veggies!


My new favorite snack is Applejuice Popsicles that my mom makes for me by pouring some appplejuice into an ice cube tray & sticking some popsicle sticks in them, so I can hold on to them easily. They are the perfect size for me & a great snack when I am teething!
Sleep Habits:
I take two 1 1/2 hr naps each day & I usually go to sleep for the night about 8:30pm & wake up at 8:30am. My 2 top teeth came in this month & they hurt really bad while I tried to sleep & I was waking up during the night, but now that they have broken through, I am sleeping much better! My mom still lays me down on my back, but I almost always flip to my tummy & push myself into the corner of my crib to sleep. I still use a pacifier to help me fall asleep & I love to cuddle with a blanket. I wake up so happy & usually play in my crib until my mom hears me talking. Daddy lowered my crib this month, because he didn't want me to jump overboard.


Play Habits:
I am crawling EVERYWHERE now & I love to walk along all the furniture in the house. I can even stand for a couple of seconds without falling. My mom and dad love to chase me & say "I'm gonna get you!" and I crawl as fast as I can(while laughing) to get away! I love to play with my Grandmas while my mom teaches Preschool on Tuesdays & Thursdays:) I started to actually PLAY in the bathtub & always want lots of toys & sometimes I try and eat the bubbles! Now that the weather is nice, I love going to the park during the day with mommy & I always find a way to eat some sand while I play! I'm becoming very curious & crawl around the house, opening cupboards & banging on things & I try to put everything in my mouth that doesn't belong in there! I love to talk, smile & laugh all day long!

I'm excited to try out my new bike seat & go on bike rides with my mom & dad--(thanks Courtney for the idea, since I saw you bought Landon one of these awhile back)

1st time to swing at the park!
1st Charity Walk/Trip to the Zoo-I had so much fun walking through the zoo...even if people thought I was a girl with my pink shirt on!

1st HALLOWEEN! I dressed up as Steve Nash & my mom & dad were referees

My ward had a Trunk R Treat party tonight...just because I turned 9 months old today--thanks for the fun party:) This was our trunk-I played in it almost the whole night, making sure I got the kid's candy nice & soggy before my mom gave it to them! Everyone kept saying how cute I looked inside the trunk & I would smile at them so big:)

HAPPY 9 MONTHS PARKER!!! We always say that he is growing up too fast...and he didn't even ask us 1st! BUT...every day, he just gets cuter & cuter & we love him even more! We can't wait to see what the next month brings!

Phelps Halloween Carnival

Monday night we had our Phelps Family Annual Halloween Carnival! It was SO much fun, as always! My favorite part is seeing all of the kids dressed up in their costumes!

MS Walk on the Wild Side

My aunt Barbara & Uncle Richard passed away from MS, so my family decided to participate in the MS Walk on the Wild Side this year! We all worked to raise money for the cause & then met Saturday morning, with thousands of others & walked a 5 mile route through the Phoenix Zoo, Desert Botanical Gardens & Papago Park.

A BIG THANK YOU!

Lastnight, my brother Matt & his wife Amy were our LIFESAVERS!!! We had planned to go to ward temple night & were all dressed & ready to go, when we discovered that my mom had a wedding reception & we were relying on her as our babysitter. I quickly called 2 of my brothers & my sister & Matt called his parents & nobody was home. We decided to just go out to dinner & scratch the original plan. BUT...1st, I decided to try Matt and Amy. They were SO willing to watch Parker AND Amy even met us 1/2 way, so that we could make our session! Did I mention that Amy is 8 mo pregnant & it was SOOOO nice of her to do this for us!?!

She EVEN gave Parker a bath & put him down to bed, so that we could go out to eat afterwards!

She sent me these pictures of Parker & Hallie and I thought they were so cute---I was laughing at his pink towel that he borrowed from Hallie:)

Halloween Party!

Every year I want to throw a Halloween Party, but I always find a reason not to. I decided to go ahead & do it this year & just have it in my parent's backyard, since my #1 excuse is having no room. Splish Splash!

I usually give Parker his bath at night before he goes to sleep, but today I decided to give him a bath in the middle of the day(plus the last 2 nights, I've skipped his bath because we have been out late) He had a BLAST! What a cute smile he has! I think we will do this more often.

He was in heaven...he wanted to play...and play...and play...
..his little hands and feet were little raisins by the time he got out:)

I usually sit him on the comfy caddy & bath time is a pretty quick process...trying to get him cleaned up before bedtime. Today, I let him play as long as he wanted with as many toys as he wanted & he had fun going from sitting up, to laying on his tummy, to crawling towards toys, to standing on the side of the tub...slipping & sliding the whole time!:)

Meet My Dad...it is his BIRTHDAY today! He is Amazing! I'm not just saying that because he is my dad. From the time I was a little girl, I wanted to marry someone like my dad.

Besides my husband, I don't know a person that comes close to comparing to my dad. He is an incredible person & I hope he has a WONDERFUL day today!

FUN FRIDAY!

Today was a FUN-FILLED day!!!

My sisters Kylie & Heidi & my sister-in-law Julie & I and all our kids, decided to go to "Friday on the Farm"

Mason convinced his mom to let him come home with me & we had a fun afternoon playing together!

Then we got so lucky & cousin Talia came over to play too! What a fun play day!

Parker & Talia are both napping now & Mason is building some sort of contraption with popsicle sticks...it has been a WONDERFUL day!!!
