Madison Carnival

My boys had a blast at their School Carnival this weekend and we came home with 3 pet fish! We will see how long they survive!

Grandpa Lyman's Funeral

It was a wonderful celebration of Grandpa Lyman's life! His family did a wonderful job, telling about his life and I enjoyed learning several things I did not know about him! What a wonderful man he was and I am so grateful for the example he was in the life he lead. I pray Grandma can have peace during this time, as my heart breaks for her losing her sweetheart.

Late Night

I let Ryler have a late night last week and come to my Volleyball game with me! Grandma and Kellen were also there cheering us on, so Ryler was in heaven!! He loves baby Kellen! I loved watching him with Kellen and he kept yelling out "go mommy!" And "I love you mommy" and "hi mommy" and it was too cute. I love spending one on one time with my boys. He fell asleep on the ride home, but it was so worth letting him come, to see his big smile:)

Grandpa Lyman

Grandpa Lyman passes away at the young age of 94. What a great man he was and is!!! I am grateful I had the opportunity to know him for the past 10 years and was always impressed with his memory of my kids names, his desire to serve(was making quilts well into his 90's) and his love for his family, especially his wife (Matt's grandma). We will surely miss him, until we meet again!

Women's broadcast

For the first time, the "Women's Broadcast" invited girls 8 years and up and announced they will no longer be having a separate YW and RS broadcast. My mom, Kylie and I decided to watch tr broadcast at home and I loved hearing from the primary General Pres, the Yw General Pres and the RS General pres. I think this new meeting will really unite the sisters of the church!

It was also Kylie's birthday so we went out to celebrate after!! We picked up Mia and went shopping at the new Downeast  Home Store and then met up with Heidi for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory! It was a great end to a great night!!!

Opening Day of Baseball

I was REALLY hoping to get these boys on the same team, but the league wouldn't allow it, so different teams it is. I think it will be good for them overall, to be separate and independent from eachother, but I hope I don't go crazy with 2 practice and game schedules! Their first day went great! Ryler played in the morning and Parker cheered him on, and them Parker played after and Ryler cheered him on! They both did great, Ryler pulled a classic tball move and on his very first hit, took off running to 3rd base! Haha! We even have it on video, we are yelling for him to go the other way, he realizes it and turns around and runs to 1st and we all enjoyed a good laugh! I was impressed with Parker, he is on coach pitch for the first time and hit the ball a couple times and got on base! He did a great job. It's not easy to have kids in sports, but I think it's important for them to get outdoors and exercise and learn how to have good sportsmanship, so I am glad they both have the opportunity to play this year.

Trampoline Movie

The boys had a movie night on the trampoline with all of their blankets piled up around them, and after Ryler and Carden came inside, I snuck out to snuggle with Parker and enjoyed some one on one time with him, looking at the stars and making eachother laugh. I love this boy!

Grandpa Fireman

Chaya and I took the kids down to see Grandpa at work and Carden was in heaven(and my boys who were in school were SOOO sad to have missed it). Grandpa gave them fireman hats, took them on a ride around Falcon field Airport and sprayed the hose! It was heaven for these kids and it was so fun to see Grandpa at work! They LOVE having a fireman Grandpa!!!

New RV gate

Almost 5 years later, we replaced our broken rv gate and I am loving that we can now hide our trash cans in the backyard and having a nice, WORKINF gate! Grateful for the little things:)

Field Day

I was so sad I couldn't go to Field Day at Parker's school, because I was teaching preschool, but my mom was nice enough to take Ryler and Carden down to cheer him on and snap some pics! I love our school!

Spring Break 2014

The little things we did as a family during Spring Break, made for some great memories! The boys asked to ride their bikes to Dollar General & even though I was exhausted, I am glad I agreed to see these happy faces when I said yes and we rode to get icecream bars:)

One night we went over to the Allen's to spend time with Grandma Haws. The boys had fun playing games, Carden tried to teach Grandma some games on the iPad and I loved hearing stories about  Grandma growing up and how she loved to dance and perform! I enjoyed spending some quality time with her and so did my boys.

While we were painting the playroom during Spring Break, the boys stayed occupied with random fun things to do, like running through the sprinklers!

And yes...we are an official Costco family! We broke down and got a membership due to an incredible living social deal and took the boys to Costco to get our cards and eat lunch and they already can't wait to go back and get the BIG PIZZA AND HOT DOGS! Haha

Cabin Day 3

We love the cabin because the boys can EXPLORE!! They had a blast catching bugs, finding cool rocks and sticks, leading us on hikes, looking for cacti, digging in the dirt and taking rides in the wagon. What a perfect way to end our Spring Break!

Cabin Day 2

We spent the day at the park near the cabin, the weather was beautiful for the picnic we had planned and when it got a little windy, Matt headed to the store to buy some kites and spent the afternoon flying kites with Parker and Ryler, while Carden and I relaxed on the picnic blanket:) It was the perfect day! That night we got take out from Pit Stop pizza and watched movies, while snuggling in the cabin. It was a great day!

Cabin day 1

After working hard on the playroom Tues-Thurs, we headed to the cabin Thursday night and these boys were SO EXCITED!!! We are so grateful to Matt's family for letting us use the cabin and create memories with our boys:)

Work Hard Play Hard

Days 2-4 of Spring Break were spent WORKINF HARD...with a promise to go to the cabin when we were done! The boys were good about helping(maybe wanting to help a little too much) but we were able to paint the playroom- went from a pale yellow to a gray color and Matt was incredible and replaced all of the baseboards, put trim around all of the windows and added crown moulding. It was a LOT of work, but looks so nice now and I appreciate that we enjoy working hard together and making improvements on our home:)
