Shower for RiAnne

We had so much fun throwing my cousins RiAnne her bridal shower!! Too bad I only took pics of the decor and not of any people! It was so cute and a lot of fun, I am so happy for her!

Daddy/Son reading time

Embarrassing

I can tease him about this in the future;)

YW Volleyball

We have been hanging a blast playing Young Women Volleyball this month! I love these girls!

Articles of Faith

The primary kids have been working on memorizing the Articles of Faith and celebrated their efforts with an ice cream sundae party! So cute, the boys loved it:)

Fiesta

We enjoyed a Mexican fiesta for Phelps FHE and the kids loved playing with the balloons everywhere:)

Double Date

Double date with my incredible in-laws! Dinner at Xavier's- my first burrito in 6 months!! And then adult session of stake conference, followed by Mesa Frozen Yogurt:) It was a wonderful night!

Music -Sign and Sing

I signed Carden up for a little sign language music class on Fridays, while Ryler is at preschool and he has loved it!! He is getting so big and having fun interacting with others and learning new things!

Markers are my enemy

Surprise weather

We had a couple days where the temperatures dropped and the neighborhood kids all had so much fun together up in our tree and running around outside playing and riding bikes! We even went to the park one day after school! It was a nice break, even though the hot temps are back again and we are shut back indoors:(

E is for Elephant

While I focus on a specific letter with my preschoolers, my mom always does the same with my boys at her house! She is so wonderful with them and the boys LOVE it! They helped Grandma make elephant cupcakes on this day and then we took them to cousins for after schools snack:)

Dino Museum

We are LOVING our Pogo passes! It allows us to pick and choose fun places to go and this particular Saturday, we didn't have plans...so off to the dinosaur museum we went! The boys had so much fun and we stopped at Mesa Frozen Yogurt on the way home. It was a perfect day, spent with my boys!

Library

We have been making weekly trips to the library while Ryler is at preschool and this particular day, Holly, Amy and Catherine came and we enjoyed a fun play date! I loved it, we need to do it more often!

Carrot Cookies

This boys says "grandmas preschool is more funner than mommy's!" Ha! He has been choosing her house over staying home for preschool almost weekly. Do you blame him when Grandma lets him make Carrot Cookies for the letter C!?:) I am so thankful for my mom and her willingness to watch Ryler and Carden while I teach preschool. It is such a blessing and my boys LOVE going to her house on Tuesday and Thursday mornings!!

Two year old Terror

Is it possible to love a 2 year old as much as I do, when he makes as many messes  as he does!?!? It must be possible...because day after day, I can't get enough of him!

Games

From UNO to Candyland to Go Fish...these boys are at the age where they LOVE to play games!!! It is fun to have them at an age where we can play games with them!!

Baptism/Bahamas Bucks

I took this cute boy on a date with mom to see two friends in our ward be baptized! I loved talking to him about baptism, because I know his baptism will be here before I know it! We went to Bahamas Bucks afterwards and I just had fun hanging out with him one on one:) love my Parker boy!

Red the Pet Fish

Woohoo!! We got a pet!!  If you know me, I am NOT a pet person...but I figured I could handle a fish;) the boys were so excited and picked out a red beta fish and named him "red the pet fish" haha!

Sno Cones

My brother Matt loaned me his sno cone machine for mutual the other night and these boys happily agreed to test it out for me!;) It worked!!! Thanks Matt & Amy!!

Coloring with Ry

This boy colors better than me and he is only 4!!! I love spending time with him and coloring...coloring...coloring!!!

Bath Boy

I love this bubbly bath boy!!!

60 Pounds Gone

I wasn't going to post a "before/after" picture because it is a little embarrassing, but decided I want to document this milestone, because I am very proud of my commitment in this journey. I started this completely in honor of my dad. He passed away at 60 years old and I hit 30 last year and decided I was not half way through with my life! He couldn't make that change anymore, but I could!! Every time I wanted to cheat, my dad pushed me forward. I am grateful that I could do this, with him behind me the entire time. I began in April and went through cabin trips, ranch trips, a trip to California, baby showers, receptions and so many more things where I typically would've "enjoyed" all of the delicious foods without a second thought. Not this year. I watched others eat and eat and eat and I chose lean and green and made the most of each day. I did it for me. And I did it for my dad. I did it for my marriage and for my kids. I am so grateful I am where I am at today and not where I was less than 5 months ago! I feel healthier and I have more energy and I am so grateful that my life is now headed in the right direction!!! To "celebrate", my after pic is in the dress I was wearing when I went to Matt's mission open house over 9 years ago and saw him for the first time "post mission"...where it all began;)

Slip n Slide

Annual Phelps Slip N Slide was a hit, as always!!! So much fun!!!

Happy Day with Fe

It was so wonderful to be part of this special day with Bryan and Natalie, as their sweet baby girl, Fe, was sealed to them forever!! Such a special feeling was in that room and I am grateful we were able to share that with them. So happy for these two to have their baby that they have wanted for so long!

Best Buds

These two are becoming good little friends(when they want to be) and I love watching them play!!!

Preschool

This boy doesn't particularly care for school. He is in a new program this year...ONE DAY A WEEK!!! He still doesn't look forward to that one day a week! Oh no! What are we going to do when he goes to kindergarten next year!? Well, with a little bribing of taking him to McD's after school if he went willingly...he managed to put a big smile on his face and have a great day at preschool!:) I hope he can do that every week...without the bribe!!
