Cubs Stadium Groundbreaking
We were invited to the groundbreaking of the new stadium being built at Riverview park...because my dad played an important role in keeping the Cubs in Mesa. They put a lot of work into making it very nice. We were greeted by girls passing out cracker jacks and water bottles, they had several speakers, followed by the actual "groundbreaking" and then served some breakfast and had some activities including pitching a ball to see the mph of your throw and then you got a souvenir bat and ball for playing. There was a band playing and was a very nice event! The only thing missing??? MY DAD! I wish so badly he was there, but Tom Ricketts(Cubs owner) did pay tribute to my dad in his speech and said that "they probably wouldn't be here if it weren't for Robert Brinton". That made me cry and then one of the following speeches was the man who just replaced my dad at the Visitors Bureau and I couldn't stop crying...thinking it should've been my dad giving the speech. It was a great day overall and I am glad I was able to be there and see something come to pass, because of my dad's efforts! NOW...if the Cubs could just win the World Series for my dad:)

Brick Oven Pizza
My mom's home teacher, Bro. Ashby invited our family over for pizza and swimming for FHE. He has a new brick oven on his back patio and we all made our own pizzas and they cooked in 2 minutes! They were delicious and my boys had a blast eating and swimming and riding the quads! What a fun night!
4th of July BBQ
We had a BBQ/swim party at my mom's house on the 4th of July and the cousins were hanging so much fun, they didn't even want to leave to go watch fireworks...so we lit off a bunch on our own and watched some big ones the neighbors let off and had a wonderful night with family!
4th of July Lunch
For lunch on 4th of July, we went to On The Border and the boys were actually very well behaved(we rarely take them to a restaurant, because 3 small children=chaos) and we had a fun afternoon out as a family!
4th of July Parade and Breakfast
Our ward, along with the others in our building put on a 4th of July parade and breakfast and other than the fact that we had to wake up at 6:30 to be there, we had a blast! The boys loved decorating their bikes and riding them around the parking lot!
Sticker Chart
My boys have been working on filling their sticker charts(Ryler for Going to the bathroom...1 sticker for going on toilet, 3 removed for an accident) and (Parker got one sticker for every chore he did). They filled them up a couple weeks ago and went to the store with daddy to pick out their Legos as a prize!
