Texas Day 3

We decided that since Waco was only 1 hour and 45 minutes away, we should go and see Magnolia Market, a store that Chip and Joanna Gaine's created (from the show Fixer Upper!) It's a popular home renovation show on HGTV and the cutest couple around. The girls did awesome the whole drive and slept almost the whole way. We stopped to feed Ava at a Cracker Barrel and ended up buying some gifts for the boys (that I ended up forgetting at the hotel), but Jaynie bought a little doll and purse and was entertained by them the rest of the trip! She bough a Raggedy Andy, which she prounounces Raggedy Badandy and it's pretty cute. Then we went to Magnolia Market to shop and we each bought a t-shirt and my mom got a cute little pitcher and I bought salt and pepper shakers. Jaynie got bored and sat down on this leather chair, took off her shoes and propped her feet up and had everyone laughing. I think all of the men that were there with their wives were very jealous! Haha! Then we went out to the lawn to eat lunch at their food trucks that are there daily. I tried a BBQ truck and my mom tried a Club Sandwich truck that actually served toppings over rice. It was HOT, but we hung out and my mom ended up getting in the hour long line for cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery! We had to try them since we were there and they were delicious! Then, we found a cute little shop called Spice Village, which is actually a huge assortment of shops, kind of like a boutique in a store and I shopped, while my mom sat in the car with napping girls. She is the best! Then, we headed to the park to let Jaynie play, before getting in the car to drive back to Dallas. It was cute, as we tried to take a pic of Jaynie and Ava together and I said "kiss her" talking to Jaynie and Ava just turned and planted one on the side of Jaynie's face, as if she heard me! Haha! We got a little lost(okay, a lot lost) on the way back to our hotel so it took us longer than we hoped and we ended up stopping for dinner at the only place we could find open, called Slim Chickens just before 10pm! We finally got to our hotel closer to 11pm and tried to pack up, knowing we had to leave for the airport at 6am! It was a fun(and very Hot)day in Waco, but I'm glad we went! It was a fun trip and I'm so thankful that my mom was able to come and help and play! And I loved not having to worry about my boys at home, since Matt was taking care o

Texas Day 2

Our new hire, Suzanne, picked me up from our hotel and we did some training in the lobby for awhile and then headed out to visit our newest added venue and see how they were doing. Next, we stopped at an ice skating rink and met with the manager and got a verbal yes right away! Next, we met up with 2 reps in the Dallas area, for lunch at Costa Vida. It was great to meet them, since I've only "talked" to them through FB and email. They had some great marketing ideas and I'm looking forward to implementing them. Suzanne then took me to meet up with my mom and girls, so I could feed Ava, while I walked her through a few things in our system  and then we were done for the day! My mom had met up with an old friend, while we were at lunch at a cute little market and then we went to Kid Mania, one of our Pogo venues, so Jaynie could run around and play. After that, we went to Torchy's Tacos and had dinner, which was delicious and then headed back to our hotel for the night. It was a busy, but good day!

Texas Work and Play

I needed to go to Dallas to train our new Venue Relations Director for Pogo Pass in Texas and since I am still nursing Ava, I asked my mom to come along to babysit her! Then, I decided to take Jaynie along too, so that while the boys were at school, Matt could go to work. Jaynie was "so so excited" and kept telling everyone throughout the airport that she was. It was too cute and she loved flying! I was worried that Ava wouldn't do very well on the plane, but she was all smiles and then slept part of the flight. It couldn't have been better. We got to Dallas and our rental car company, Silver Car, picked us up at the airport, with a car seat for Jaynie, which made the process soooo easy! We then headed to the Hilton, where a good friend of my dad's comped us a free hotel room for the next 3 nights. It was sooo nice of him and he left us a sweet note, along with brownies and fruit and crackers and cheese! Quite the welcome!
