Bumbo

Parker's cousin Talia got a Bumbo chair...cushy chair that babies can sit in as soon as they are able to hold their heads up! I've been wanting to buy one for Parker, so we decided to see if Parker liked it last Sunday @ the Allens. He didn't really know what to think about it. His head is still a bit heavy, so he was bobbing it back and forth and looked like he was trying to rap:)

Our Lil' Temple Worker

Parker was blessed on March 25th, we were lucky enough to have a member of our bishopric come over to my parent's house, so we could bless him at home. With such a big family, we thought it would be a nice way to allow everyone to come help make the day special. I bought Parker a little white suit for his blessing & he looked SO cute in it! Many said he looked like a lil' Temple worker:) Matt gave Parker a wonderful blessing & then everyone was invited to stay for dinner afterwards. My mom made Parker a beautiful white blanket for his blessing & hand-stitched the ENTIRE thing! I know Parker isn't old enough to appreciate it, but I was so grateful to my mom! She wasn't expecting it to take as long as it did & ended up staying up all night to finish it in time for his blessing! She is amazing! Parker will treasure that blanket forever!

New Cousin

My sister Kylie had a beautiful baby girl on Thursday, April 26th! They named her Mia Maree & Parker is so happy to have a new little cousin...even though that means less attention from Grandma & Grandpa!

We went to the hospital to visit on Friday (I didn't think they would let Parker in, but they had no restrictions on small children) so he was able to meet Mia:) We spent all day at the hospital, keeping Kylie & Mia company!

3 months old

Parker is 3 months old already! Time is flying by so fast! Matt gets home from work & thinks he is bigger than the day before! He's got a cute belly now & is outgrowing all of his 0-3 month clothes! He is so much fun, always smiling and talking! We call him our little "bobblehead" because he still bobs his head when trying to hold it up. He is getting better at holding it steady, but I think he gets tired of holding it up all of the time! He LOVES his daddy...he gets SO happy when Matt comes home from work and is all smiles when daddy plays with him! He is on a good schedule now, still eating every 3 hours during the day, starting @ 9:30am. His last feeding of the day is at 9:30pm & then he usually goes to sleep about 10:00pm. He still wakes up once (usually about 4-5am) to eat between his 9:30pm & 9:30am feedings...but it isn't bad at all! He is SUCH a cutie!

1st Easter

We dressed Parker up for his 1st Easter Sunday & boy did he look cute! The Hubers, wonderful friends of our family, gave him a cute Easter Basket with all sorts of fun toys! My mom has these cute little recliners in her playroom for the grandkids, so we decided to see if Parker could sit up in it...and I think that he aged 2 years in 2 minutes! All the sudden he looked like a toddler to me, because he was sitting up!

Bath Time Fun

Parker LOVES to take baths! (He DIDN'T at 1st) I remember in the beginning, dreading giving him baths, because he would cry the whole time! I think he just needed to get a little bigger & get some fat on his body...because after he was about 3 weeks old, he decided he LOVED baths! It is fun to watch him start to splash in the water & smile at me while I wash his hair. He is such a cutie!

All Smiles!

Parker showed off his 1st "real" smile on March 15th, 2007! He's been all smiles ever since! I don't care if he doesn't sleep during a night or has 10 poopy diapers a day...his smile makes it worth ALL my time! Parker is especially happy in the mornings, he wakes up with a smile on his face & ooohs & aahs all morning long:)

Parker & Talia

Parker's cousin, Talia, was born just 9 days before him on January 18th, 2007! Heidi & I had so much fun being pregnant at the same time & are so excited to have them so close in age. It is fun to be able to swap stories, advice & more as they grow! They were also Matt's parents 1st & 2nd grandkids...so they were so happy to get a girl and a boy all at once!

Growing fast!

I don't think I realized how much a baby would change my life, but Matt & I have loved every minute of it! Parker is such a happy boy & is growing fast!

Birth: 6lbs 11 oz, 19 3/4" long, 13 3/4" head

4 Days: 6lbs 6 oz, 20" long, 13 3/4" head

16 Days: 7lbs 4oz, 20 1/4" long, 14 1/4" head

2 months: 11lbs 5 oz, 23" long, 15 3/4" head

Home Sweet Home

On Monday, January 29th, we were able to bring Parker home! We were so excited to be home with him...I just wished I could have brought a nurse home with me to get up with him in the middle of the night! :)
