Carden’s Christmas Projects
Bump
Carden came home with a nasty bump on his head. Sadly an older boy at school tripped him as he was walking him and he ended up with this:( The mama bear in me wants to go yell at the boy and never let Carden go to school again). After I knew he was going to be okay, I emailed the principal to let her know and she will be talking to the boy tomorrow. I didn’t even want to tell them, but I both Ryler and Carden said it was intentional and I didn’t want the boy to continue being mean. I’m grateful for our good school and our principal emailed me right back and said she will take care of it. I’m just thankful it wasn’t any worse and I hope he will be all better tomorrow!
Gingerbread Houses
On a whim, I picked up a Gingerbread Village at Walmart that had 4 structures, so everyone could make one and these 4 had fun decorating together. They busted out the hot glue gun at the end since they were determined to get suckers to stand up! Ha! Jaynie’s faces were cracking me up every time I took a picture.
Kindergarten Program
Carden had a Christmas program at school and was SO CUTE! He did ever single action and knew every word to all of the songs! His grandparents came to support him and was all smiles to see us there cheering him on! The kids did a little shopping at a kid store they set up and we had donuts with Santa after. What a fun night!
American Furniture
I needed to run to the furniture store and Jaynie has me laughing the whole time! We got there and saw the double stroller/cart they had and she exclaims “this will be fun!” Then she had to stop about 20 Times to get on a chair or couch or bed and pose for a picture. She kept saying “this one is cute!” Haha. To top it off, as we were leaving, empty handed, the nicest store clerk stopped us and gave both girls a free stuffed animal. I’m pretty sure Jaynie thought it was the best day ever! I’ll have to remember the furnitire store next time we need to get out of the house! Haha
School Spelling Bee
A month or so ago, Parker came home and said he won his class spelling bee and would be in the school one at the end of the semester. He worked hard at practicing spelling words at home and did a great job at the spelling bee! He spelled about 6 words right and there was only 7 kids left when he spelled Slobbery SLOBBERLY...whoops! His mind automatically said “ly” at the end and he knew as soon as he said it that he made a mistake. I was so proud of him for not getting upset and did a good job!
Christmas Caroling
Earlier this month we asked our kids what their favorite Christmas tradition was and I think every one of them said Caroling! The Phelps family always carols on Family night and then ends the night with donuts and hit chocolate and it is one of my favorite traditions as well! I love this big fun Phelps family!
Reindeer Run
The girls went to school to watch the boys in their “Reindeer Run” at school! It was fun to watch the boys and all 3 were at the front of the pack for their grade! I love seeing my boys during the school day!
Best Friends
Jaynie loves all of her brothers, but these 2 have a special bond! They both call each other “best friend” and love spending time together. Here they were begging to sleep on the floor together! Haha
Ward Christmas Party
The primary was in charge of the program for the ward party and we did the Nativity and it turned out really cute. I love these primary children and while my calling is a lot of work, I love spending my Sundays with these kids. And a cute picture of Carden with his best friend, Hannah Petersen!
Cub Scouts
Ryler made this cute Sled at Cub Scouts!! He loves Scouts each week and is excited to be in Bears now!
Dance Class and Kisses
I got to go “watch” Jaynie’s dance class for the last day of the semester. She was way too shy and sat on my lap the entire class! Luckily, Mrs. Wendy says she normally does great when the parents aren’t there and she looks forward to this every week! On another note, Ava started giving kisses today, so that’s been fun! I love spending my days with my 2 little girls!
